Back to EU Region Virtual Student Exchange Please note: The virtual exchange program is paused for 2025. This iSchools virtual mobility program enables students at participating iSchools in Europe to cross national boundaries, develop intercultural competence, and participate in exciting programs specifically tailored for the online environment. Developed in response to the COVID pandemic, the program has the added benefit of eliminating the financial barriers of travel and local housing costs; students will pay no additional fees beyond their normal home-school tuition. The program complements the European Erasmus program, and credits will transfer seamlessly across participating schools. We believe this program will help build a cadre of students who have studied together at multiple schools, thereby bringing a broad European perspective to information science. The virtual exchange program is currently intended for master’s-level students at the following participating iSchools. SHU is among the first batch of pilot projects of high-level university construction in Shanghai, and is one of the universities that focus on building their preponderant disciplines into first-rate ones on the list of the Ministry of Education. The School of Cultural Heritage and Information Management of Shanghai University was formally established on December 6, 2021, based on the Department of Library, Information and Archives of Shanghai University, the Major of Archaeology of the College of Arts, and the Basic Science Research Institute of Cultural Heritage Protection. At present, the college has 5 national talents, 10 provincial and ministerial talents, and 5 of them are the chief scientists of 973, the chief experts of the national key research and development program, and the chief experts of the national Social science Fund major projects.
