Metro State University, a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System, is seeking to hire an Electronic Resources Librarian. This is a full-time, probationary, 9-month position within the Library and Information Services Department. This position begins in August with the academic year, but there is potential for up to 30 summer duty days of work beginning in May 2023.
The successful incumbent will manage the library’s subscription eresources, including access, evaluation, and assessment of resources. And establish access to new electronic resources, monitor platform changes, and work collaboratively to investigate, resolve, and communicate access issues. They will apply various methods and tools to perform collection analysis of electronic resources overlap and coverage by discipline to support decision making. They will also serve as point of contact for eresource authentication and other eresource management concerns. And manage and administer the library’s discovery service (Primo VE). This is a full-time, tenure-track academic appointment carrying full faculty status and responsibilities.
