The iSchools organization is sponsoring a Travel Fund of USD $10,000 for members of the iSchools community to attend iConference 2026 in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. Everyone is welcome to apply. Authors with accepted submissions, PhD students, Early Career faculty (up to 8 years after Doctoral Dissertation) and BA and MA students will be prioritized in the application process.

The Travel Fund will pay for the full conference registration including lunch and conference dinner for each successful applicant. All other costs associated with traveling to Edinburgh, Scotland, UK will be the responsibility of the applicant. Please apply only if you are able to cover the additional traveling cost. Applicants are responsible for ensuring that they meet the requirements for entry into the UK (e.g. visa).

The application portal will close 8 January 2026. Applications will be considered on the criteria mentioned above and the travel distance.

Instructions for the Letter

  • The letter must confirm your enrollment at the school

  • The letter must state that the school endorses your attendance at the iConference

  • The letter should be written on formal letterhead or at least include your school's logo

  • The letter must be signed by the dean or vice dean of your school

  • Detailed information about your academic progress is not required
