Basic Members Directory Xidian University School of Economics and Management Basic China Asia Pacific Member Since 2025 Visit School About The School of Economics and Management (SEM) of Xidian University was founded in 1980 as the Department of Management Engineering and Information Engineering. It was one of the first management schools (departments) set up in the early period of China’s Reform and Opening-up. After more than 40 years of development, SEM now has one postdoctoral research station, four first-class disciplines, one doctoral degree authorization point, four first-class master's degree authorization points, five professional master's degree authorization points, 10 undergraduate majors (four national first-class majors, six provincial first-class majors, including one China-US joint education program) and one provincial experimental teaching demonstration center. In recent years, SEM has created a number of national high-quality courses, first-class undergraduate courses and provincial first-class courses, and one textbook were chosen as the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan National-level Planning Textbook for General Higher Education Undergraduates”. SEM has won more than 60 national scientific research projects, 130 provincial and ministerial level and major horizontal scientific research projects, published more than 130 high-level papers, and won 28 provincial and ministerial level awards. SEM has set up 5 provincial scientific research bases and a number of local and municipal, school-level scientific research institutions and platforms. Many research and consulting reports written by teachers and students have been adopted by the government and enterprises. There are 136 full-time faculty in the School, of whom 58 are associate professors and 28 full professors. There is one candidate for the New Century Talent Support Program, and 9 provincial talents. Basic Members Directory Universität Regensburg Institute for Information and Media, Language and Culture Basic Germany Europe Member Since 2019 Visit School About The Institute for Information and Media, Language and Culture consists of 9 professors in domains including media informatics, information science, media studies, linguistics and cultural studies and provides an interdisciplinary basis for performing research in diverse aspects of information behaviour, which represents the overarching research focus of our institute. A core theme of the Institute’s research and teaching interest centres broadly around the use and processing of information in the digital age. Of particular interest in this respect is the interface between the user and an information system. Some current application domains include lifestyle decision making (e.g. food and exercise choices), pedestrian navigation, search and personal information management, backed up more broadly with a track record in dialogue-based interactions that combine knowledge acquisition, natural language processing and information retrieval. Housed within CU Boulder’s College of Media, Communication and Information, our department is proud to cultivate an inclusive community of scholars who share a commitment to excellence and innovation in research and teaching. The Berlin School was elected to membership in the iSchool Caucus in 2009, an indication of its role as one of the leading programs in Library and Information Science internationally.
