The iSchools Organization invites member institutions in North and South America to submit proposals to host the 23rd iConference in 2028.
The iConference is an annual gathering of scholars, researchers, educators, and innovators from around the world who share a commitment to addressing critical information challenges in contemporary society. Through interdisciplinary dialogue, the conference advances information science, explores emerging ideas, and encourages the development of innovative technological and conceptual frameworks.
To promote regional representation and participation across the global iSchools community, the location of the iConference rotates annually. Each conference is hosted by an iSchools member institution or jointly by multiple member institutions.
In 2028, the 23rd iConference will take place in North or South America. The iSchools Organization therefore invites eligible member institutions to submit proposals to host the conference.
Hosting the iConference provides institutions with an opportunity to:
Showcase their school to an international audience
Strengthen regional and global partnerships
Bring the worldwide information science community together
Help shape the future of the iConference
Application Deadline
31 October 2026
Eligibility
Only iSchools member institutions located in North or South America are eligible to apply. Institutions may submit an individual or joint hosting proposal.
