ICADL 2024

4-6 December 2024 (online and onsite conference)

AP-iConference is an annual event for information field researchers in the Asia Pacific region that started in 2014. In recent years, AP-iConference has been held together with ICADL. iSchools, ICADL, A-LIEP and ALIRG have jointly hosted doctoral consortiums there. This event is planned based on this tradition and to provide a larger community for the participants.

Highlights:

  • One Keynote: (ICADL/AP-iConference Joint, TBA)

  • Panel for Young Researchers

  • Paper Presentation Sessions

  • Student Symposium Sessions

Call For Participation: Papers and Student Symposium

Generation Researchers in the Information Field (Jointly Organized by Asia Pacific Chapter of iSchools, ICADL, A-LIEP and ALIRG)

The paper sessions offer a great chance for researchers in the information field to share their recent research ideas and results and to get feedback from general and interdisciplinary audiences.

The student symposium sessions give a place for graduate students to present and discuss their studies with mentors from iSchools, ICADL, A-LIEP and ALIRG, as well as to build networks for future international collaborations. The organizations have jointly hosted doctoral consortiums for recent years. This symposium is planned based on this tradition and to provide a larger community for the participants.

The review process is double-blind. At least 3 Program Committee members will review each submission. All accepted papers will be published in the proceeding of ICADL as a special track. Each accepted paper must be presented by at least one of the co-authors. Sufficient time will be given to the oral presentation for accepted papers in all submission categories either in-person or using an online presentation platform to be chosen later. We highly encourage to submit papers on AI for information services that covers a wide range of topics as we are aiming to organize a special issue later for accepted papers (journal TBA).

The symposium includes two tracks - on going and finished research presentations and research plan for doctoral degree. Members of the organizing team and leading researchers from iSchools, ICADL, A-LIEP and ALIRG will participate in the event and give comments and suggestions to help students brush up the research and to build up their research plans.

  • Track 1 : On-going and finished research. -- Proposals may be made by one or more authors. The first author should be a student and present his/her research at the symposium.

Submissions of papers and student symposiums will be via Easychair, the same as ICADL main conference paper submissions (https://easychair.org/cfp/icadl2024). Authors of accepted submissions have to present their work at the paper sessions or graduate student sessions.
