About

The School of Information Science & Learning Technologies (SISLT) was founded in 1997. Our mission is to improve the professional practice of information specialists and learning technologists, as well as to advance the research on information, learning, and performance. SISLT offers graduate degrees in library and information science, archival studies, learning technologies and design, and an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in information science and learning technologies. We also offer graduate certificates in usability and user experience, online education, serious games and simulation design, and a new undergraduate program in serious games. SISLT is the home of Adroit Studios video game development lab, the Digitization Station for the preservation of audiovisual materials, the Information Experience Lab for usability and human-centered design, and WeMake Design & Learn Lab, an educational makerspace.
