The Indiana University Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering is home to nationally recognized programs in information and library science, ranked No. 9 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and informatics. Its faculty and students examine how information and technology are designed, organized, preserved, accessed, and used, and how those systems shape people, organizations, and society.
As one of the broadest technology, information, and engineering schools in the country, Luddy connects informatics and information and library science with computing, data science, engineering, human-computer interaction, and related fields. This interdisciplinary environment supports research and education in areas such as social informatics, digital curation, information ethics, data and knowledge systems, and human-centered technology.
