School of Information and Communication Studies at Charles Sturt University fosters an informed community of information, library, archives, records, and communication professionals. The School is the leading provider of library and information education in Australia and one of the largest in the world. Communication students explore storytelling as a multitude of possibilities in an ever-changing cultural and technological landscape. Library and Information Science (LIS) research in the School was rated ‘above world standard’ in the most recent national assessment exercise (Excellence in Research for Australia) conducted by the Australian Research Council.
