About the Event
The 2027 ACM SIGIR Conference on Human Information Interaction and Retrieval (CHIIR, pronounced “cheer”) will take place from 7 to 11 March 2027 at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Germany.
CHIIR is a multidisciplinary research conference focused on user-centred approaches to the design and evaluation of systems for information access, seeking, retrieval, and use. The conference welcomes work that improves existing systems and interfaces, introduces new theories, models, and technologies, or advances understanding of how individuals and groups interact with information and information systems.
The conference also encourages contributions addressing human-to-human information interaction, emerging interaction paradigms, innovative evaluation methods, and related research across fields including information science, human-computer interaction, sociology, education, ethnography, and psychology.
CHIIR 2027 will be held in person to support community building, knowledge exchange, and meaningful discussion.
