The Valencian community recognizes the Degree in Computer Engineering (GII) of the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering (ETSINF) as the most valuable among those offered by the University Polytechnic of Valencia (UPV). Considering the total number of applications in first preference, Computer Engineering is the most requested degree at the UPV, followed by Fine Arts, Engineering, Aerospace, Architecture and Design and Creative Technologies, in that order.
The ETSINF is chosen by Hewlett Packard (HP) to locate the chair of company of its new development center. The center dedicated to the development of technologies and software solutions will incorporate profiles linked to Information Technologies with knowledge in the development of Cloud Applications, Artificial Intelligence and Software Quality.
This chair implies that the ETSINF stands as the core of the university-company relationship to the development of Cloud Applications, Artificial Intelligence and Software Quality
In recent years, the ETSINF has established itself as the backbone of research in information technology. Currently, they are the 12 organizations where most of the faculty linked to the center carry out their research. In addition, the ETSINF faculty is attached to 9 Departments, where there are also outstanding research groups. This fact demonstrates the transversality and multidisciplinary orientation of both the teaching staff and the fields research related to Computer Engineering.
