Syracuse University School of Information Studies
Established in 1896 as a library school, Syracuse was the first ALA-accredited school to embrace the information revolution by becoming the original information school in 1974.
Today, the school is consistently ranked in the top five LIS schools in the nation, and serves as a model for emerging iSchools around the globe. Syracuse offers a bachelor's degree in information management and technology, an M.S. in Library and Information Science (also available in School Media Specialization), M.S. in Information Management, M.S. in Telecommunications and Network Management, and four graduate certificates in digital libraries, school media, telecommunications and network management, and information security management. The iSchool at Syracuse also offers a Professional Doctorate in Information Management and Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology.
The School of Information Studies is dedicated to expanding the capabilities of people who are at all stages in their professional development. The iSchool provides a range of executive education programs for the working professional, including an Executive M.S. in Information Management, the Professional Doctorate in Information Management, and professional certification courses and development seminars.
