The College of Information Sciences and Technology at the Pennsylvania State University is a multi- and interdisciplinary college that focuses on the integration of key constructs of people, information, and technology across disciplinary boundaries.
Our mission is to improve the lives of people through high-quality teaching and learning, world-class research, and partnerships associated with information technology and the related sciences.
Our research strategy seeks to provide insight by adopting a social and cultural impact perspective, studying the diverse behaviors and needs of people and teams, linking those behaviors to the design of technological innovations, theorizing about information technology, applying and integrating technologies into different settings and venues and optimizing the impact of these technologies across a spectrum of application areas.
We seek to be a community of scholars with diverse research interests that provides a unique climate for learning in and out of the traditional classroom though which we build the information technology leaders of academia and industry for this century.
