CALL for REVIEWERS
THE CALL FOR REVIEWERS SUBMISSION PERIOD HAS ENDED.
Dear i Conference 2008 Colleagues:
More than 180 proposals for papers, posters, roundtables, and “wild cards” were submitted. About 50% were accepted. So many were excellent; our only regret is that more could not be accepted. Our sincere thanks to everyone who submitted a proposal for conference participation and to everyone who served as a reviewer for proposals. Without all of you we would not have an i Conference nor would we have one as attractive as the 2008 i Conference, i Futures: Systems, Selves, Society, is shaping up to be.

Help create the i Futures: Systems, Selves, Society conference. Be a reviewer!
i Futures: Systems, Selves, Society brings together scholars and professionals who
come from diverse backgrounds and share interests in working at the nexus of information, technology, and people. With invited speakers, paper sessions, a poster session, roundtables, and ample opportunities for conversations and connections, the conference celebrates and engages our multidisciplinary efforts to understand and create the future role of information
in all human endeavors.
The conference planning committee is seeking reviewers of submissions to the conference. Reviewers would evaluate abstracts for papers, paper sessions, posters, roundtables, and/or innovative “wild card” activities. For further information see the Call for Participation. Doctoral students, faculty, and information professionals are all encouraged to volunteer to review the submissions.
Reviewers must be willing and able to submit their ratings and recommendations within four weeks of receiving notice of the online submissions assigned to them for review. Materials will be available to reviewers by Monday, October 29, 2007. Ratings must be submitted by Monday, November 26th at the latest. The review system will be entirely electronic.
Review criteria include quality of content, usefulness to the field, originality and level of innovation, multi-disciplinary nature of the work, and relevance to the conference focus and themes.
Reviewers will have the opportunity to identify the areas in which they wish to review.
To volunteer to serve as a reviewer, please send an email message today to Angela De Cenzo at decenzo@cse.ucla.edu
