Local Transportation Options
Here's how to get to our conference hotel, the Toronto Marriott Downtown Eaton Centre Hotel, from Toronto's major points of ingress.
Arriving by air
Toronto Pearson International Airport
As Toronto’s major airport, Toronto Pearson Airport offers numerous options for getting to downtown Toronto, detailed at http://www.torontopearson.com/en/toandfrom/ground/. The most direct would be by airport express bus service that travels to several downtown hotels including the Conference site (http://www.torontoairportexpress.com/) for under $30 one-way or $45 round-trip or by airport limousine for approximately C$50 one way (excluding tip). Local transit fare from the airport is $3 one-way and takes about an hour.
Toronto Centre Island Airport
Every 15 minutes, a free brief ferry ride travels between the island and the downtown harbour. Once at the downtown harbour, you can use their free shuttle service to get to the TTC subway, get on a TTC streetcar, or grab a cab. http://www.torontoport.com/Airport/Getting-To.aspx
Hamilton Airport
Conference delegates can reach Toronto from the Hamilton Airport via shuttle service, rental car service, or GO Transit, the regional public transit service. http://www.flyhi.ca/passengerservices/transportation
Buffalo Airport
Although this is an American airport, Buffalo International Airport offers buses, shuttles, taxis and limousines which serve Canadian destinations in addition to providing rental car services. http://www.buffaloairport.com/GroundTransportation.asp?sec=5#Canadian
Arriving by train
Union Station
Union Station is the major intercity train and bus station providing service to Via Rail, Amtrak, Ontario Northland, and GO Transit. From Union Station, walk to the adjoining TTC station to take the Yonge/University/Spadina subway to Dundas Station. http://www.toronto.ca/union_station/directions.htm
Arriving by coach
Toronto Coach Terminal
Bus terminal for private intercity bus companies that operate services to Toronto, including Greyhound, Coach Canada/Trentway-Wager, and Ontario Northlands Transportation Commission. From the bus terminal, just walk south along Bay Street to the conference hotel. http://torontocoachterminal.com/home.html
