iConference 2012 | Early Career Colloquium
This half-day event is intended for assistant professors, post-docs, or others in pre-tenure positions and builds on the tradition of highly successful events at past iConferences. The program will include an introductory presentation on the tenure process, panels by recently tenured faculty and experienced former deans, and small group discussions to provide informal dialogue, guidance, and insights. Topics might include: setting a research agenda, balancing teaching and research, time management, publishing strategies, faculty mentoring, dealing with a multidisciplinary faculty, working with doctoral students, grant writing, collaborative research, and faculty politics.
- The Early Career Colloquium will take place on Friday, Feb 10.
- Participants will be asked to sign up when they register. Online registration will open in early November, 2011. There is no additional fee for taking part.
- When you register, you will be asked to provide questions that will be used by the Colloquium chairs to help plan the event.
