The 2010 iConference is in the process of applying for National Science Foundation funding to sponsor the doctoral colloquium. Doctoral students are encouraged to enter a submission for the iConference in general; a requirement for participation in the colloquium will be a submission. Priority will be given to those students who have completed their proposal defense.

When registering for the doctoral colloquium through ConfTools, please visit "Your Submissions" and submit:

  • a 500-word research statement (your personal statement as a researcher--how you got to where you are, and where you think you're going);
  • your CV;
  • suggested faculty mentors for the colloquium; and
  • a photo to be used in the doctoral colloquium program, once you are selected as a participant.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: November 18, 2009

The doctoral colloquium is NOT limited to iSchools students.
